Lydia and her family recently purchased a new property in New York State that is over 100 years old. As it turns out, they also have a terrible surprise as they discover a secret room inside.

The woman told the newspaper that she found the room where she, her sister and mother were hiding, and the door opened from her brother’s closet. Thinking it was just a cupboard, he tried to open it, but it was stuck and he dared not enter.

Finally, with the help of his mother, they somehow opened the door, but what they found there was very disturbing. The mysterious hole contained a sleeping bag, a black backpack and some spoiled food. When they got closer, they found condoms, pornographic magazines and even a mattress.

The mood was somewhat calmed by the fact that a calendar from 1980 was also inside, which led the family to conclude that no one was secretly living with them, but that things could be left there long ago.

Lydia spoke of them suspecting that a young woman might have used the room as a hiding place to hide this and that from her parents.

Either way, his two younger sisters still sleep through every night, and he hopes they won’t have to face any more unpleasant surprises.
