Russian authorities have foiled two assassination attempts against well-known media figures, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Saturday.
According to the organization, the targets of the planned attacks were the editor-in-chief of RT TV, Margarita Simonjan, and radio and television presenter Ksenija Sobchak. On Friday, authorities detained several members of the neo-Nazi group Paragraph 88 in Moscow and the Ryazan region, as well as those recruited by Ukrainian services to carry out planned killings, the FSB said.
