A man was shot dead in his car in a busy Sydney shopping district on Tuesday morning. The Guardian It says Alain Moradian is one of the key figures in the Australian cocaine trade. Around the same time he was shot, a burnt-out Porsche and another burnt-out car were also found, possibly linked to the case. They are looking for the two shooters.

In 2011, the man was sentenced to 6 years in prison for importing and selling a large quantity of cocaine. An investigation at the time revealed that Moradian and his wife, Natasha Yukhana, lived a life of luxury, spending drugs on real estate, designer furniture, jewelry, and luxury trips. According to an email presented during the trial, Yukana encouraged her husband to act like Tony Soprano because she feared their lavish lifestyle would bring them down.
