Four bathers were injured after a dolphin attacked them off a Japanese beach. A 60-year-old man was bitten and his ribs crushed by dolphins in Mihama town early Sunday morning. Shortly after another man in his forties was attacked, he escaped with only a few bites. Little is known about the other two attacks.

According to police, they are aware of six dolphin attacks in the province this year, so put up signs on beaches: Do not touch or approach the animals.
Dolphins are generally non-aggressive towards humans, but some scientists believe that swimming next to humans in the wild can be stressful. (BBC)
