On Monday morning, a Swedish people smuggler who was carrying 36 refugees in his van was arrested on route 8 near Vesprem. He declared Veszprem District Police. Police stopped the van with Hungarian license plates at the Litter junction on road 8.
According to the announcement, 15 of the 36 illegal immigrants declared were Turkish, 11 Syrian, 9 Moroccan and one Kyrgyz citizen. None of them could reliably prove the legality of their stay in Hungary”. Cases were opened against the driver on suspicion of human trafficking, and authorities returned his passengers to a temporary security border lock.
